Thread the Velcro strap through the steel roller buckle and pull tight. The roller mechanism locks the strap in place so it can't slip or peel under load. To release, simply lift the roller and pull, instant off. Faster than prongs, more secure than Velcro alone.

No. Machine washing can damage the Velcro hooks, weaken the nylon fibers, and warp the steel buckle mechanism. Hand wash only with mild soap and air dry completely.
Sweat odor comes from bacteria buildup. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth after every use and air dry before storing. For stubborn odor, hand wash with mild detergent or spray with diluted white vinegar solution (1:4 ratio), then air dry completely.
Velcro loses grip when the hooks get clogged with lint, hair, and debris. Use a stiff brush, fine-tooth comb, or tweezers to clean out the hook side. This usually restores full grip strength. Always close Velcro when storing to prevent contamination.
